Cushion Diamond Engagement
Would you suggest me purchasing this diamond?
Hi Guys,
I went to a jeweler today to look at a diamond for an engagement ring and wanted to know how you feel about it.
I specifially want price value you would recommend for this stone, and if it is a good stone.
Is the girdle or table an issue?
It being an SI2, I could see some minor clouds but no black spots. Most of them were in the back of the stone which would be covered by the setting.
Please help me make the right decision…yes or no…

The reason I chose these measurements is because I know she will like a stone that will look larger from the top. I don’t know if I want anything smaller
The quality of the ring is very good, so pretty much the only issue left is price. I don’t believe the girdle or table are an issue. But because it’s over 2 carats, I would be extremely shocked if it was only $15,000 (as commented by the contributor below). You can get the best deals from an independent jeweler, as opposed to like Tiffany’s or something (where a 2 carat diamond can easily cost $50,000).
