Cut Diamond Gia
Is it bad for a diamond’s table to be bigger than the depth?
We are looking at a diamond that is GIA 1.5 carat G Color SI2 Clarity Cut: (My boyfriend doesnt remember) I’m thinking just good.
Table is 61% Depth 60% Symmetry and Polish: Good
No Flour They are asking $7000.
Is this a good deal. I am concerned on the cut! The table being bigger than the depth. I may be looking too much a the stats.
I don’t believe that it is WAY over priced. Not for a GIA 1.5 stone. It maybe a little, but I haven’t found anything that wasn’t atleast close. Jeweler or internet. This is an independent jeweler. Not the Mall.
I really just want to know about the cut.
If that’s a round brilliant, then the table is waaaaay too big. You’re not going to get anywhere near the light refraction you should (read: not as sparkly).
I would go with a smaller stone, with a better cut… $7000 isn’t overpriced for what you are getting, but you could spend that same amount on an ideal cut 1 ct, and have a much more beautiful ring.
