What is the best way to go about selling a piece of not antique but not new either jewellery?
On my 18th birthday my grandmother bought me a ring. It’s yellow gold with one oval ruby and two small diamonds. This is ten years ago, as you can tell from the description this is by no means an exclusive or antique piece. It cost about 500 pounds back then and I don’t expect to get a great deal for it. However it’s a difficult thing for me to do and I’m only looking to sell it as my boyfriends inability to repay money to me – we live together so I don’t consider myself to have a choice, if he fails to pay his bills I have to – leaves me feeling with no other option. So if I must do it, what is the best way to go about it?
Go to a jewellery shop, an independent small one where they value jewellery and also buy, get a few estimates. Either that or eBay but you might not get the full value for it. Oh and btw dump your bf!!!
