Ring Marquise Setting
Marquise engagement ring – unusual (sideways)?
Looking for help locating an engament ring with Marquise shaped center stone, but no the usual way – perpendicular to ring setting, but rather sideways, parallel with the ring setting.
This is something my girfriend is looking for and she saw it in a magazine, which we don’t have anymore. Any help locating pictures of it would be appreciated!

Now whoever says that it’s an ugly setting – I think it’s very different.
Many rings are bought based on the setting, then a specific diamond is chosen, so that people who like the same style but want different sizes of diamonds can do so… I’m sure any jeweler could horizontally set a marquise.
The link below has one, but with a plain band, and I don’t know anything about that company. I also saw one (through www.adiamondisforever.com) made by Kwiat, but you’d have to search through there yourself and I couldn’t find it on the Kwiat website. It was set horizontally but with a plain band. I haven’t seen any as pretty as the pictures you have.
On a side note, Catherine Zeta Jones’s engagement ring was a horizontally-set marquise.
